ABOUT
Based in the Ottawa, Canada region, I have 6 years of professional experience as an Instructional Designer. I have completed the eLearning Instructional Design and Development Certificate through Oregon State University, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree through the University of Ottawa.
I design and develop digital learning content such as videos, interactive eLearning modules, assessments, infographics, and PDF job aids. I am also experienced with LMS administration.
My process loosely follows the ADDIE model, with adjustments based on stakeholder feedback included throughout the design and development process. I work closely with subject matter experts to ensure learning content is accurate and up-to-date, managing the project from start to finish.
I use adult learning theory (Andragogy) along with other foundational theories and models, such as Bloom’s Taxonomy, Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction, Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction, and Mayer's 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning to guide my design decisions. These frameworks help ensure that my instructional materials are engaging, effective, and tailored to the needs of adult learners.
I use DaVinci Resolve and several Adobe applications, including Captivate, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I also use Snagit for many projects, as well as generative AI apps including ChatGPT, Descript, and Perplexity.
